World Geography

This course offers a captivating journey through the diverse landscapes, cultures, and peoples of our world, all viewed through the lens of a Biblical worldview. By intertwining the study of geography with the wisdom and insights found in the Scriptures, students will gain a deeper understanding of the interconnectedness between God’s creation and humanity’s place within it.

Throughout the course, students will explore the physical geography of different regions, including continents, countries, and ecosystems, while also delving into the rich tapestry of human geography, encompassing cultures, religions, languages, and historical narratives. Emphasis will be placed on recognizing and appreciating the unique characteristics of each region, as well as understanding the social, economic, and environmental factors that shape them.

Incorporating biblical perspectives, students will examine how geography influences and is influenced by human actions, including migration, trade, conflict, and environmental stewardship. They will critically analyze contemporary global issues such as poverty, inequality, and sustainability through the ethical framework provided by the Scriptures.

Through interactive discussions, hands-on activities, and multimedia resources, students will develop spatial awareness, critical thinking skills, and a deeper appreciation for the diversity and beauty of God’s creation. Ultimately, this course aims to inspire students to become responsible stewards of the Earth and compassionate global citizens, guided by the principles of justice, mercy, and love as exemplified in the Bible.
